This is a take on a letter Sanem would write to Can when he went to the Balkans.

Hi Erkenci Kuş fandom! What happens when Can finds out that Sanem gave her perfume and the ingredients away? Will he be able to listen to her this time or will he go back to the way he was before? This is my first story, I hope you like it.

Once, I thought I had you, but not now. It had been a year since he had left Sanem, but the memories still haunt her now. But when the man she loved appears in her life once again, he won't find the woman he had left heartbroken. A lot can change in a year. Taking place after the events of Episode 17...

I really loved EK up to episode 19, after that, they made Sanem act too childish, awkward and unworthy of being a strong and intelligent woman. From then on, and especially the scene at the hut where Can lost it, I almost felt insulted that a young woman could be portrayed in such a weak and stupid way; and that she would blame herself after a man would treat her with so much violence and disrespect. I am slowly learning to like the character of Can again but mostly felt the need to write my ''dream'' version of EK after Sanem tells Can ''you have decided to leave, good bye''. I like happy ending don't worry, but Can won't have it easy!!! I own no rights over characters, and I am not a frequent writer apart from uni and work assignments/reports😊 oh and I am not a native English speaker. Yigit is not Polen's brother in this story, because it was utterly RIDICULOUS!!!! Lol

And when she got tired of fighting and trying to utter muffled protests, he carried her from her legs and placed her on his shoulder and started walking towards his car not carign about her gasps and breathless screams. "You're coming with me! You're not going with that man I don't want to name anywhere, do you understand!....whether you like it or not!"
