Incipience (\in-ˈsi-pē-ən(t)s), noun: the act or process of bringing or being brought into existence. The meteors came without warning. Hundreds of thousands of them came raining down to the Earth, but they did little damage to the planet itself. It's the people that they brought ruin to. Upon impact, the meteors combusted into this fine powder that saturated the planet in its entirety. Within a few weeks, billions grew weak, millions were sick, and hundreds of thousands were dead. That's when they came. These beings from across the stars, the Inovarians, landed on the UN's front lawn with technology capable of fixing the planet within a few weeks. People around the world celebrated until we realized what their help would cost: us. Follow Charlotte-Amalie, a teenager from the USVI, as she feigns assimilation into Inovarian society and races against the clock. She has a year of experimentation to survive through before having to face an ultimatum: be drafted into the military to fight the Inovarians' war or forced into their breeding program. With the help of a covert rebel sec of the military, Charlotte-Amalie may just be able to beat the clock in time to get her and a few of her fellow Earthlings out before the battle begins. Book 1: Chapters 1-12 (Complete, publishing with New Degree Press Winter 2021) Book 2: Ongoing (Update Hiatus to meet publication deadlines for book 1)

"Hi!" I smile up at him. He's a lot taller than I expected, especially compared to my 5'4 height. "Hello?" He responds, raising an eyebrow. "I just... um... noticed you were in history with me and was wondering what's your name." I respond, slightly confused by his cold tone. "I'm Hakeem." He says simply. So he's not even going to ask for my name? Who does he think he is? He should be honored to know my name. I think to myself jokingly. "Don't you want to know my name?" I ask, raising an eyebrow in confusion. "Nope." * Roxanne Williams has everything a 17 year old girl could want: Two loving parents. A ride or die best friend. A position at the top of her school's social chain. When her math grade starts to sink, she's forced to learn that her bubbly charm isn't going to solve all her problems. "Human beings are vile, nasty creatures. Blood thirsty. Evil by their very nature. That is was we were told. By them. Humans relished for millennia in systematically destroying one another. Our innate yearning for violence lead to not only the destruction of ourselves, but of our planet. Our home. Our planet was dead, our species nearly extinct, so we left. Those who survived dreamed of finding a new planet, a safe haven where we could start over. But our technology was failing and we never made it to our destination. We were adrift in space. Destined to die in the emptiness of the universe. It was luck that the Morrí heard the signal broadcasting. It was altruism that they came to our aid. It was their generosity that provided a home and a life for the remaining humans. They were our saviors. Without the Morrí, the last of humankind would have perished along with a broken vessel. That, at least, was the version of history we were taught. Humans had to earn their place among the Morrí. Humans must prove themselves. Humans are not to be trusted due to our volatile nature. Humans owed their very existence to their Morrí superiors." Keep your head down and survive. Don't attract the attention of our Saviors. Lena has spent her life following the rules set forth by her father to avoid any conflict with the alien race who saved humanity. It's worked for the most part, until a chance encounter leads to her becoming entangled in a dangerous game of politics and war between Morrí leaders. All of her perceptions of the race she's served her whole life are challenged as she's forced to put her trust in one who she's always considered an enemy.

*Book 2 of the Saint J's Boys* "Please," Logan gave me a heartwarming smile. "Call me Lo." "Alright," I crossed my arms over my chest. "What's your story, Lo?" His eyebrow raised up at me as his smile suddenly turned into a smirk, "Where do I even begin..." ************* Unlike every other story, this one isn't about a girl. It's about a boy. But like all stories, it's about falling in love. Logan-aka Lo-has a found a way to cope with his depression: Dance. When he finds out that his favorite dance studio is going to close down, he embarks on a mission to save it. By his side, Harper Ross. A freshman at the university who is dedicated to dance as much as Logan is. Naturally, the girl Logan starts to fall for already has a boyfriend. So how does someone as broken and unsure as Logan open up to someone with so much life and energy? For Lo, loving and losing is better than never loving at all. But can losing love also mean losing everything? ************ Warning: This book does contain references to depression. I decided to write this because a lot of this world is misinformed or misguided by what depression truly is. This story is about love, but it's also about how something like depression and anxiety can affect everyone you love around you. If this isn't for you, that's fine. But if you trust me, I'll take you through an incredible journey. All Rights Reserved
