The year's 2178. In 2057, the war between the USA and North Korea came at an alarming height. In 2078, an apocalypse happened. America, north and south, was wiped off the earth, together with Australia and western Europe. This event is remember each year at the 8th of June. North Korea now rules over what's left of the world. The leader, Choi Min Jun, is a very severe man. He tries to keep the country as it is. And he's not afraid of any punishment. Any criminal that gets arrested, if it's fair or not fair, will be executed. There's no excuse, there's no way out. And especially, if you are descended from a survivor, from someone who escaped the natural disaster. This is the situation 19 year old Troye Sivan's growing up in. His ancestors survived and moved to Seoul, exactly 100 years ago. He lives a happy life, together with his parents, his two brothers and his sister. He studies at university, and goes out every so often. But when he gets into a manifestation on accident, and that manifestation gets put down by the police, he gets arrested.
