Link was a bit of a problem child when he first started school, all he ever knew was the kindness from his best and only friend, so when faced with other nastier people their age, he didn't react too well. Skip forward a couple years and he's improved. Expressing his feelings however didn't come so naturally to him, so he decided to just... Go for it, in an extremely weird way, and just expect her to get it. He wanted to be nice to people, so he just accepted everything and went with what the other person desired.
