Peridot Greene is a young agent at the very secretive agency (not ORIGANAL I know.) who has just been assigned her first case. Lapis lazulis is a failing reporter and story WRITER who can't seem to catch a break. But when Steven, their friend, brings them together as a favour, to get lapis a story that will start her career, life gets a little messy. In this alternate universe there are four kingdoms called The Homelands, the Crystal Lands the Dark lands, and the outlands. Mostly at war. Lapis Lauzli: future Queen of the Dark Lands spends most of her time self mopping in her room. A passion for freedom and a longing lust for love but a stubborn heart, will her quest for love be completed once she encounters a powerless peasant?

Lapis Lazuli and Peridot Greene did not have what you would call a "friendship." Lapis would use Peridot for homework and cheated off her for test grades and in exchange, Peridot would get protection. They weren't really friends, more like partners. However, after an incorrect ingredient is used in a chemistry class, Lapis starts getting strange feelings for the small nerd. Feelings that extend far beyond friendship.

(If u haven't read Killing Me Slowly, read that first to better understand this story) After a series of stressful ups and downs, early retired gang-leader Lapis Lazuli and partner Peridot are now allies with their previous rivaling gang, the Crystal Gems. Steven believes it was always meant to be, but issues escalate as the Crystal Gems keep driving wedges into the two girls' relationship. Lapis was new to Beach City, as well as going to college. She wasn't one for making friends, but was drawn in by Peridot.
