Their dad is rarely ever home since the accident, so most of the parental responsibility is on Joey, Lillie, and her twin brother. The younger siblings are Hayden, that is 16 years old and plays sports along with their brother art, that is 14 years old, and then Logan is 12 years old, then the younger of the siblings is Jane who is only a year younger than Logan and is a girly girl. After going to the mall to get things for college that Lillie and John got accepted into, Lillie runs into 4 men who she will learn will become important to her, though she doesn't know yet that there is a 5th man to the group, and little does she or them know that they will be all attending college together. John and Kylie as key roles within the book, John being the twin and Kylie being the best friend, neither want to step out of their comfort zone and think Lillie won't approve of them having a relationship, however Lillie knows they like one another and will eventually encourage them to be together. Though Lillie will learn why her best friend truly wants John as much as she will truly learn why the 5 men truly wants her.
