Of course since Theo is in the foster system there are a lot of issues when it comes to later on adopting him and even keeping him in general. The team is upset and disappointed in Bucks decision so they all decide to ignore him when he returns to work, especially Eddie who was hurt by the lawsuit. The team goes out to drink after their shift without Buck who also happened to go for a drink to drown his sorrows, when he sees his team celebrating a win without him, it crushes his soul so decides to leave the bar. Outside waiting for him, are two large men who had their eyes on buck for awhile. Will Buck be able to overcome his trauma? Will he open up to his team? What will Eddie do once he finds out the love of his life was hurt?

eddie looked out the window of bobbys office. buck and christopher laughed as buck picked up chris and threw him over his shoulder. "some things are just more important." eddie said, more to himself than to bobby. buck looked in the window and motioned for eddie to come out. eddie turned his head to bobby, "tell them to keep their money". and with that, eddie ran over to the two people he cared about most in the world. because when he was with them, nothing else mattered. this was exactly where he wanted to be.

I wrote this just intending it to be a Short one shot.... 20k words later... here we are. Buck and Eddie get together after a night at the bar leads to some revelations.
