Even though Percy escaped from Tartarus, a little part of him will always be down in that pit, raw and terrible. The evil he did down there left him feeling just like the things he fought so hard to kill; a monster. He is ready to end it all until he is reminded of the reason he fell into Tartarus in the first place: Annabeth. He fell in to save her, to preserve the mere possibility of seeing her fluffy blonde hair blowing in the wind once again, her striking grey eyes catching the sunlight as she gazed back at him. Annabeth gives Percy a reason to live once more, a reminder of all the beauty left in this world. She is the only thing that matters to him anymore, making him willing to do anything to keep them together. After all, he made a promise, and Percy Jackson always keeps his promises.

Annabeth managed to escape Tartarus and join the seven in the war against Gaea, but Percy was left behind. Now, three centuries later the Doors of Death are opening again and nine heroes descend into the Pit. The events which follow, none of them could have anticipated. Everyone says that time heals all wounds, but Percy knows it leaves only scars. But, Percy supposes, without time he would never have found a place where he truly belonged. Currently being rewritten

He grows up believing that he owes everything to Kronos and his minions - after all, they do refer to him as 'My Prince'. They helped him survive; if he ever owed anyone, he must owe these guys. And also, no one can be all bad, as they even let him occasionally talk with his friends that are back up in what everyone just refers to as the surface.
