What do when we cannot prove what we believe? How can justice be served for those who have committed injustice and atrocities against humanity, but have been spared the full weight of the law? - - - This is a short story I wrote for a recent English exam my grade completed for the Crime Fiction genre. I received full marks for the exam, and decided that my story was worth sharing with the Wattpad community. Inside, I detail the mental damage a former detective suffered trying to catch an extremely elusive serial killer. I advise readers to be aware of highly descriptive gore scenes.
