Mira Singh always knew her old best friend, Fynn Ryan, was crazy, but she never would have expected for her to go completely off the rails, bring a gun to school, and threaten to kill the only girl she'd ever love. *** Mira Singh never let anything bother her. In fact, she burned down the old family house and felt absolutely no remorse. After her family moved to the other side of town, she even ditched her old best friend Fynn Ryan for a new girl: Jackie Meyers, a beautiful, brown-skinned girl that made her the best blueberry waffles for breakfast. Mira thought all was going well. She was on the road to forgetting about Fynn and giving her entire heart to Jackie, but Fynn had other plans. In a desperate attempt to "save" Mira from Jackie, things go south, resulting with Fynn uttering the words, "Mission: Failed," and killing herself. Right in front of her class. Mira and Jackie are now left to deal with the aftermath of the tragic event and answer the hard questions. What drove Fynn to the edge? Will Mira's feelings finally learn to not be selfish? It's for Hunters, a race of faster, stronger humans, trained to fight supernatural creatures. When she gets there, not everything seems normal. Every adult seems to know her, but she seems to be unknown to the kids. Does it have something to do with her parents? Who are they? Now all of a sudden, her ex and her sister are falling in love, her brother, whom she hasn't seen in years, suddenly shows up at her door to drag her to some supernatural meeting, she gets thrown in jail, she doesn't know what the heck is happening to her body, and, on top of that, the awkwardly hot alpha werewolf is suddenly into her.
