Melanie Roscoe is a Fangirl. When the Green Fandom Asylum contacts her parents, they decide to give it a try. Melanie is thrust into a world of people to whom she can relate. She is encouraged by her counselor to keep a diary of her stay there.

As the clock ticked over midnight, Lydia's twelfth birthday had begun. Her best present? A visit from the Doctor. As eight years passed, nothing out of the ordinary happens.
