Earth has made first contact with an alien race. At the historic first meeting, an ambush put peace for humanity out of reach. Colonel Kyle Martin was there that day. It was his leadership and the bravery of his marines that saved what little hope mankind had. When Earth was threatened with invasion, Martin again felt the weight of war pressing down on him. Known as the Butcher of Hyderabad for his decisions in the Indian War, Martin seemed a poor choice to guard the peace but the perfect man to organize the forces of Earth to defend itself from the coming alien scourge. With a select team of humans and a few allies among the alien races, Martin is tasked with not only defeating the invading armada, but with making sure that Earth is kept free from any alien domination. Faced with impossible odds against an overwhelming foe with advanced technology, it is only a secret about Earth itself that gives Martin the glimmer of hope to succeed. With his “lucky charm” Ramirez, his go-to girl Kitch, and an unshakable Sergeant Major, Martin rolls the die time after time in audacious gambles with the stakes being nothing less than the survival of the human race. Face-paced action awaits in this military sci-fi adventure.

What are the perks of having an internet friend, you said? Well, I’m very glad you asked, thank you very much. Well, apart from the obvious that is, which are; social interaction without actually having to meet people, getting to say, “my friend from –” and whichever country they’re from – which will make you sound like such an interesting traveller instead of the sun-deprived person that you are – and them having your backs whenever a bitch fight sparks up – because wow; who knew you couldn’t really express an opinion on the internet anymore?! But there are even more. Faye Ely, for example, even moved to Sweden, where her long time internet friend, Johan Brolin, lives. And well; here’s another perk – already having a friend in a new country! Then you’ll get to make friends with his friends, such as Johan’s band mates, in this case; Jolle, Pete, Jonas and Nikki. Well, isn’t that great? Now, the main reason Faye moves to Sweden – dragging her best friend Kayla Dannell along with her, of course – is because she wasn’t too happy back home. However, life in Sweden isn’t quite the easy-going life she had hoped for. I mean; the boys are lovely, of course. Johan, known as Jaybee, perhaps a bit too lovely towards her, which might be the reason why his girlfriend – or ex, or girlfriend; you have to read on to find out – to put it in a simple way; hates Faye’s guts. And then there’s the thing with the guy living across the hall from Faye and Kayla. Something is definitely up with him. Or so Jaybee thought. Or maybe there really is! I won’t bother you with anymore details here, but I guess if you want to know more; just read on.

A world ravaged by war; humanity on the brink. A stranger comes from another time. Is he the saviour mankind has been waiting for... or something far darker? When an accident with an experimental Time Machine plunges David Tweed into another dimension, at first he thinks he got lucky. He's alive, and the world in which he finds himself seems remarkably familiar. Soon, however, he begins to realise how strange this world really is, how tangible is the evil that crawls across the shattered landscape. But strangest of all, everyone he meets seems to have been expecting him. How do they know who he is, and just what have they been waiting for him to do? Alan Porter weaves a deceptively simple story of one man's courage in the face of overwhelming odds. Yet Firestorm is also a fiendishly complex puzzle, where time twists in on itself and nothing is ever quite what it seems. *Firestorm: Descent is also available in paperback or Kindle formats from Amazon.
