"Kill it." He ordered, his voice ice-cold and indifferent. Speechless, all I could do was stare. What was I meant to say? Hi, I'm your daughter, an adult female stuck in a child's body and I've been reincarnated into this world? His eyes were as red a blood, hair as dark as the ocean depths and had a voice that made a chill run down my spine. He was callous, psychotic and had a thirst for blood. My blood. Even worse. I was now his daughter.

ONC#2019 Long List The legends spoke of it, the myths whispered of it too; tales of a sword, forged in hope and wrought in despair, drawn out in light and quenched in darkness, made by a simple blacksmith, yet a blade so powerful that it could even destroy the Gods. It is believed that the swordsman worthy of lifting this sword was a true warrior, one who would be rendered invincible. And those who survived the battles fought alongside this warrior, swore that they could hear the blade sing. It was during the darkest battles, where the very existence of the world was threatened, that the blade would find its blade master, the warrior who would need it to fight the battle, to hope for a chance at victory. At least that is what was believed, for no battle seemed dire enough to have the blade appear in the last four thousand years. Four thousand, one hundred and sixty five years after the last recorded tale of the battle, where the blade had appeared, sixteen year old Aindri, much to her shock and delight, discovers that the legends are true and the myths are facts. But then what the myths guarded was a fearsome secret; for the sword to be rendered powerful, it needed a sacrifice, a price to be paid, willingly... Completed.

When Fate is involved, can one girl really save the remainder of the human race? Centuries ago, Earth was populated by the Elven folk who resided closely with its human inhabitants. Yet after a dozen years of living together harmoniously, mankind's greed for more overtook their universal conscience, and regrettably over time, the Elves would begin to fade from their existence leaving no memory behind. The planet slowly began to implode with clear signs of natural disasters occurring in unnatural areas until the last and final disaster. Billowing black clouds of a storm began brewing in the sky, also brewing a new kind of fear into its onlookers. The assumed last town to burn in the biggest world-wide fire known to earth was witnessed only by one nine-year-old girl as she lay on the edge of sleep, staring out of the crooked window in the small shack she called home. As her eyes begun to close, she noticed the ashy rain fall past in a flurry, just before a bright golden light engulfed the little room and she found herself staring straight into the golden eye of a common bird in their area, The Arabian Eagle. Unlike their town's local bird, this one was made up of fiery hot flames of gold and was twice the size of her tiny figure. "Goodbye Phoenix" were the last words whispered in her head before the light blinded her and her mind shut down. When Fate is involved, is it fair to leave mankind's fate in the hands of a savior assumed dead? Humanity lost all hope of survival and enclosed themselves in the only remaining Elven temple on earth. The city of Imrryr, never looking back to the outside world that they had doomed for the rest of eternity. But today something was amiss, in the land where no living thing with a sane mind would dare venture, there she lay with her knees tucked into her chest. Her bare body was coated in layers of charcoal, stiff as a corpse. And that she was, until her eyes opened.
