This story picks up immediately after A Court of Mist and Fury ☺ Tamlin, underestimating the mating bond, unknowingly let the High Lady of the Night Court and Mate of his archenemy Rhysand into his territory, expecting her to be grateful, not realizing he let a fox into a chicken coop. Feyre now has to deal with Ianthe, who still thinks Feyre is dumb, and Lucien, who Feyre thinks can see through all her lies...

Rhys and Feyre have been cleaved apart because of The King Of Hybern. Feyre is now with Tamlin and missed Rhys terribly. She is forced to pretend to love a man who once locked her in a cage. Rhys is torn apart because his mate is suffering and he can't help her. Every night they write notes back and forth and each time their bond flickers a little more. It holds strong despite the two being apart they still remain the same love they once had. Feyre knows what her mission in the spring court is and she knows what she must do to get back to the one she loves so dearly.
