"Now for the winners of the barrel racing competition. In first place. You know her as the horse that came and went with the wind. Who finished in the time of fourteen point three seconds. Bailey Holt! Come on out here, Bailey." The crowd claps and cheers as I enter the arena to claim my prize. The announcer is standing in the middle with a trophy and a wad of cash in his hand. He hands me the trophy and what seems like a hundred dollars, "Why don't you tell us your way of getting this horse to win," He hands me the mic and I gladly take it. "We really don't have a way of training. We just get out there and do it. We practice every day and just see how fast we can go," I hand the mic back and he turns to the stands. "From what I've seen, she could be the next Rodeo Queen." The crowd ripples with cheers and whistles and he turns to me," So. Are you gonna shoot for Rodeo Queen?" He asks putting the mic to my face. "Why not!" I say. He pulls the mic back down and dismisses me from the arena. Rodeo Queen. Not a bad idea. *IN VERY SLOW EDITING!!!! IF SOME MISTAKES ARE THERE I WROTE THIS STORY WHEN I WAS 10 YEARS OLD AND NOW OLDER I SEE THESE MISTAKES. SO PLEASE CALM DOWN XD* *Sequel now available ;) *

Mia Hastings was never one to follow the rules. Her brother knew it, her best friend knew it. Everyone knew it. She lives for the moment, doing whatever she feels and thinking of the consequences later. Her main goal in life is to live it. Mia’s brother’s best friend Drake O’Connell was never big on rules. The judge who sentences him to 2 years in prison knew it. He is known for being the badboy, partying and womanising. His charm, good looks and obnoxious behaviour made his life pretty easy and his main goal in it was to have fun. He had lost 2 years of his life locked up, so he was determined to make up for lost time. So when these two people are thrown together, both without a care in the world, issues of their own and more secrets than an episode of Pretty Little Liars, you can expect a story full of laughs, tears, arguments and felonies. They might be breaking the law, but both Mia and Drake are about to find out that when it feels wrong, it is ALWAYS more fun. ©makeandoffer

They say this is a mans sport. Now I don't agree with that in the least. If a girl can ride longer and rope faster, you would think she'd get the same respect a any other man, right? But that is one huundred percent not the case in the Calgary Rodeos. You see that's the reason why I've masqueraded as a man in the sport since I was sixteen. No one took me seriously as a bull and saddle bronx rider. Dru Taylor wants more than anything to be respected as a serious rider. But when she meets a guy who is the complete oposite of accepting of females in the sport, how will she put up having him living in her and her three brother's home?

She's evolved from a stubborn, mean little girl into a kind and sympathetic teenager. Moving away from that hick town was the best thing that happened to her! Until Daddy loses his job and they have to move into their summer home--which, coincidentally is their old house in Lewisburg, that Piper had no idea about. Immediately, her old, stubborn 'tude is returning with news of the move and only worsens when she literally bumps into Liam, though she doesn't recognize him. He's arrogant, he's country, he has an annoying accent and says "y'all" and "ain't" all the time. He, on the other hand, falls right back into being friends with her, easily charming her. Underneath his arrogant, cowboy exterior there's something special. Piper just has to open her eyes and see beneath the surface to figure that out. She never claimed to be a fast learner, though. But there's a reason in everything. There's a reason Piper's father lost his job, and there was a reason he kept the old house. There was a reason Piper found Liam again.

#1 Teen Fiction | #1 Young Adult | #1 Romance "We all need someone to drive us mad." - The Wombats. He stared arrogantly down at me, a smirk plastered across his face. I sneered up at him with distaste, wanting to wrap my fingers around his neck and strangle that smirk off of him. He brushed my golden hair from my face, his long, slender fingers sparking electricity in my skin, making my knees wobble together. "Will you ever, forgive me?" he whispered huskily, his eyes intently staring into mine. His face was only mere inches from me. I just needed to reach out a little further to kiss him... "Yeah. Over my dead body." I snapped, before throwing my arms out forcefully, shoving my hands into his chest, pushing him from me. -*-*-*- He, is Carter Williams. I, am Lacey Adams. We were once, inseparable. The 'Golden Couple'. The unbreakable best friends, that everybody envied. Nothing could get between us. A part from being tighter than white on rice, we updated our status from friends to being in a relationship, frequently. We were neighbours, which meant our families were all close and even co-owned houses around our town. This, all is, until the day of my sixteenth birthday. Everything changed. The loving relationship we shared, was severed and torn apart. I couldn't hardly stand to look at him any more, without spitting fire that is. Every day is torture being around him. He was in all my classes at school and the window in my room was even directly aligned with his. So, what happens? My mother's mum gets sick, so dad and her fly out. Just them. Leaving me to stay with Carter and his parents, who are never home. We would be alone. In one house. Under the same roof. If I was insane before, I have no idea what I am now. © 2016 by LaurenJ22.
