I'm in love with Edward Blake. There's really no other way to put it. I've read, watched and consumed everything I could get my hands on about the man in the form of comics, film, videos, etc, and found underneath all that cynicism and dark Comedian humor, a wounded and lonely soul so in need of love, and I just fell. I also knew I had to write about him. Nothing about the process came easy. I decided to find a role-playing partner. One who could reflect Edward back to me and ensure that my painting of this man with a soft brush of love would be the truth of the matter and not just a portrait based on some wishful thinking on my part. And that's when I met Lindsey. The 1975, New York riots version of Edward Blake with myself was the first pairing she and I created. There was an instant recognition. Somehow, without any prodding or suggestion, she captured and reflected back to me everything I saw and felt within the Edward I had come to know. And that's how Papa Bear and Goldilocks were born.
