Shawn and Jonathan, after Shawn's adoption, learn what it means to open up and trust each other. Their dynamic is unique, in that sometimes they goof off like brothers would, until Shawn gets himself in heaps of trouble and John has to set limits. 😆 Shawn and Maya, after Maya's adoption, learn they are kindred spirits with inseparable personalities. Goofy, spontaneous, and a little dangerous. They've realized how much they need each other, but they have also noticed the disorganized and sometimes reckless nature of their relationship. Cory's daughter, and Maya's best friend, Riley, notices this. So she hatches a plan to get Shawn to be Maya's father. Things seem to be going well. Until the return of someone from Shawn's past. With a new threat, can Shawn, Katy, and Maya find happiness at last? Or will they find out that hope really IS for suckers?
