The day Southside High shutdown changed a lot in Riverdale. That event affected many of the small-town teens, but none more so than Toni Topaz and Cheryl Blossom-two girls who didn't seem to have much in common. Toni lived a teenage daydream, being cheer captain and the girlfriend of Riverdale High's star player, Reggie Mantle. Cheryl-or Cherry as she preferred to go by-was a gang member who lived on the wrong side of the tracks. They believed the only things similar about them were that they shared a couple of classes and the same friend group. But things began to take a turn when they started to realize there was something they could relate to; trauma.
