Zeus must've said something because Poseidon visibly sighed and looked away with a dangerous scowl. Perci's father collapsed into a puddle of sea water, disappearing to...wherever. Zeus coughed, clearing his throat and raised his glass once more. "Odin, the Allfather and I have declared an alliance between the Greeks and the Norse." It suddenly seemed like a moment to hold one's breath and the whole room did, "With the marriage of Thor Odinson and Persephone Jackson." Silence reigned over the room for a few moments before the quiet was broken with the shattering of glass hitting the marble floor. All eyes turned to the culprit, it being Perci herself. Annabeth was looking at her, shocked beyond comprehension and a hand covered her gaping mouth. Piper and Hazel's reaction were similar. The sea green eyed demigoddess took a shaky breath, a handful of her skirt and fled the room for the closest door. The silver circlet was made to curl around the crown of her head and dip down onto the centre of her forehead. The jewel on her brow was the same colour as her eyes. The woman took a shaky breath as the Amazon gently placed it on Perci's head and brushed her fringe out of the way, so it hung over a small part of the diadem. Book 2 of A Demigoddess's Disaster. Light obscured her vision, even worse than her tears did and when she next opened her eyes, she was welcomed with the sight of the Amazon's training arenas, the large villas and the marble temples.
