They were dead bodies, but they weren't still on the ground. They were walking around. As if they had re-animated. I shook away the memories from the day it started all those weeks ago and focused on my running. It was almost sunrise and I figured I could stop soon. As soon as I knew I was safe. But I know now that I had fooled myself. In this new world, you can never be safe. I'm Katie Greene, and this is the apocalypse.
