Everyone knows that their soulmate tattoos appear on their 13th birthday. A soulmate tattoo being the first drawing that their destined other has composed. Nico's appeared as well, three years ago. He didn't really care about the idea of having a soulmate, so it was just another thing to ignore. But when he moved to the town of SomethingVille, Nico was a little bit interested in his next door neighbor, Will Solace. Of course Nico isn't going to show that, he'll just ignore him like he does to everyone else, or try to at least. Seventeen year old Will has lived in the town of SomethingVille for seven years and nothing has changed that much since. So Will is incredibly excited when he hears that someone is finally moving into the long-empty house that neighbors Will, and he ensures that he is the first to greet the new residents. He is surprised to come face to face with a boy about his age that was rather pale and dressed in black from head to toe, including his hair. Nico looked like an okay character to Will, with just a little bit of annoyance on his face, and Will wanted to get to know him better, and help Nico feel welcome to somethingville. archer_of100 did the whole summary, you should also check out her books. none of the characters belong to either of us.

Black as night, his hair. Deep eyes, dusted cocoa. Narrowed, concentrated. His hands, frail, holding the pencil precisely. His walls, up, his head, down. Nico. His hair, yellow as the sun. His eyes held the sky. His hands, holding nothing but his heart, his mind, open. Will.

Nico di Angelo is a normal 16 year old boy. Or so people thought. Behind closed doors, Nico is a depressed teen dealing with his abusive boyfriend Nathaniel. One day, the abuse becomes too much and Nico runs into the woods in seek of escape. What he didn't realize is, there is more creatures in the forest he's grown up near almost all his life. Will Solace is a normal 18 year old. In his world that is. Will is a werewolf. He is the heir to his father's throne. As the Alpha's son, he needs a mate in order to rule the pack and carry on the Alpha generation. But, each werewolf is linked with another person at birth. The parents have nothing to do with it. He was supposed to find his mate at age 16, but he hasn't. His wolf, Sol, has been saying he feels like the werewolf females are not his type. And when his parents allow him to meet werewolf males, he still doesn't feel any connection to any of them. When he sees a small male human brought forcefully into the pack, he suddenly feels something he hadn't felt before. A mate's connection. But, how would Will's pack react to having a human alpha? Soulmates: the interest of our generation. We live and breath for them, walk and talk about them. It's so exciting finding yours- that moment when the blacks, whites and greys burst into color and you can see them for the first time in a real light. Of course, that part doesn't come until you fall in love with your soulmate. That's the part Nico has trouble with. His one soulmate was the only person who he rivaled against. And Will? He was falling for his competition.

Nico tried to flatten his rapidly curling hair in the heat. Perks of living in California, he guessed. The walk to the beach was short, and he knew the way even though he almost never went. Hazel walked beside him, her hands in the pockets of her bathing suit cover up, and she smiled softly. Will wiped beads sweat off his forehead. He had reduced his clothing to a tank top and shorts, but even so it was hot, which was rare for him. Perks of living in California, he guessed. The sand beneath his flip flops shifted with every step and the waves looked cool and inviting. He looked up and saw someone.
