Ichiro Kousaka, a 16-year-old boy from Grengrove Town, begins his journey as a Pokémon trainer after an incident in Professor Oak's lab. His childhood friend, Clara, receives the same Pokémon he does--an Eevee, a fox-like furry Pokémon, which Ichiro soon nicknames his as 'Kitsu', referring to the Japanese name for fox. As it turns out, Team Frost are causing catastrophe at Mt Moon, a connecting mountain from Pewter City to Cerulean City. Can Ichiro stop the spiteful plan of Team Frost this time? Will him, Clara and Pewter City's gym leader Burgh have enough strength to beat an advanced commander of Team Frost, one of the infamous Shadow Triad?
