The kidnappings in New York continue unabated, with more and more people disappearing without a trace. In pursuit of solving the mystery, the amazing and much-loved Spider-Man sets off with his faithful companion James Osborn. Meanwhile, lost teenager Lex Lindgren arrives in town still reeling from the death of her beloved grandfather. She too is trying to solve the mystery of the kidnappings and the two-faced Black Eagle organisation. Soon the fate of these two characters is unexpectedly linked and they will have to contend with many problems. The mundane ones and the less normal ones.

Peter Parker's living the life. He's the superhero of his home town, the brainiac of his school, and an (unofficial) Avenger. After the Vulture's defeat, petty crime is all he deals with. But what happens when he starts catching feelings for an unsuspecting classmate? Or when a shadowed creature starts ransacking the stores of New York while also stopping criminals in their tracks? Will Spider-Man be challenged by a tiptoeing superhero who does some good while breaking the law, or will he find that there's something more sinister afoot? You know very little about your past. The only thing you're aware of is that you're adoptive mother, Natasha Romanoff, is an Avenger. Meaning, you live in the Avenger's HQ. Everything is normal until Tony Stark's new intern, Peter Parker, arrives. Then, of course, there's the day that you run into trouble in an alley and get rescued by none other than the newest super hero; Spider-Man. With everyone keeping secrets, you find yourself struggling to figure things out on your own. Who are your parents? What is Peter Parker hiding? Why is your mom acting so strange? The Parker curse continues to plague Peter and it doesn't help when the Avengers are sent to arrest him. They don't seem to get that he only wants to be left alone. And then Tony offers an internship to Peter. Peter decides to give it a try while trying to keep his identity a secret. Hopefully Peter will find a way to make it through the hard times and find a reason to hope.

SHIELD doesn't like masked vigilantes. They believe it reflects badly on them, but no one can get a hold on the slippery "hero", Spiderman. So they have no choice but to call in the Avengers. Meanwhile, Midtown Tech is excited for a chance to be a part of the exclusive Stark Internship Contest, which will see 2 teams of 5 interns compete in challenges to recieve internships at Stark Industries. Peter knows there's only so long he can escape the Avengers, and now that he comes to Stark Tower daily, the chances he'll be discovered are higher than ever. So when Spiderman disappears off the street, crime rates start to go up, and a new group of super villains rise, the Avengers start to wish they'd never gone after Spiderman.
