My life should be great. I have an amazing job with one of the biggest event management companies around, and I have a wonderful boyfriend. Oh wait, did I say "wonderful"? I meant "cheating". And my job used to be amazing until I got a new boss. Now, it's only awkward. Why? Well, I fancy him a little, nothing serious, though. Okay, that is a lie, too. It is a full-blown crush. To him, however, I'm invisible. He doesn't even remember my name, even though I'm his personal assistant. Could it get any worse? Yes. Thanks to the bottle of wine I decide to down out of pure frustration on one of those many lonely nights in my apartment, while my boyfriend is out cheating on me. Please, don't blame me. Wouldn't you do the same? I'm sure you would. Okay, but I guess you wouldn't make that incredibly stupid mistake that I'm about to make. Note: Mature content. Sex, mild violence, explicit language.

I had never paid much attention to celebrity gossip or what was going on in Hollywood because that was so far from the lifestyle I lived as a poor college student, working as a barista to save up for my own house after graduation. But then, without my knowledge, my Dad submitted my name into a talk show sweepstakes to win a week with Hollywood superstar Dylan Chase, to see what it's like to live like a celebrity for a week. My Dad thought it would be the perfect chance for me to get out of Iowa, see the world and have an adventure for once. I was dreading leaving home, flying for the first time and going by myself all the way to L.A. Plus the idea of spending a week with an arrogant, rich, snobby actor that was probably the worst kind of womanizer didn't sound like my idea of fun. What I found when I got there and met Dylan was the total opposite; a man that was humble, hard working, easy to talk to, and down to earth. Spending a week in Paradise in the guest house of Dylan Chase's Malibu mansion right on the beach, attending a movie premiere on his arm, shopping on Rodeo Drive and eating at five star restaurants was like a dream come true, but sleeping in his bed and falling for a guy from a completely different world than me was never part of the plan, because him and I could never end up together. **FAIR WARNING: YOU WILL HAVE TO BE PATIENT WITH CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT, BUT IT IS THERE, AND WORTH THE READ. IF YOU ARE OVERLY SENSITIVE, DO NOT READ THIS BOOK* Logan Pierce and Noah Locke are sworn enemies. Both at the top of their class, holding themselves to the highest standards; both captains of their volleyball teams, Logan as the girls captain, Noah as the boys; and both constantly playing seemingly harmless pranks to get back at one another. Or, at least, they're usually harmless... If one thing is true, Noah Locke and Logan Pierce are not friends. But does that mean they could never be friends? Or transcend their title as enemies? Logan might take things too far sometimes, but there's a reason behind the angry front she puts on, and in order to get behind it, someone needs to show her that there's more to life than being the best at everything. Cue Noah Locke. When the two volleyball teams are sent away to a team bonding camp for a week over Fall break, Logan and Noah must learn to get along for the sake of their teams. Partnered up and made to do activities together and bond, the goal is for Noah and Logan to stop this ongoing feud. And when something happens at the bonding camp that brings Logan's vulnerable side up to bat, Noah is the one who has to bring her back. While Logan and Noah explore something other than hatred for one another, there are secrets and people who could be working in toll to bring them apart. But will they be able to transcend those factors and stop fighting for once? Or were they destined to be enemies forever? "Better Than You" challenges the idea that enemies have to stay enemies forever, and proves that if you don't run away from love, you may just find where you were meant to be.

I will be your heart, if you will be my shield. In a world where magic supposedly didn't exist, Serena has spent years struggling to conceal her unpredictable singing magic. While wishing for a peaceful life where she can sing without fear, she sees a man in handcuffs being forced into a shady research center. Their eyes meet, and the soulbond is forged. Darien is not from this world, and he's been held captive for years. With the soulbond amplifying his strength, he can fight his way through almost everything, but not every danger can be fought with fists. Their love draws them together even as power-hungry enemies try to pry them apart. They want to control Darien for their own purposes, but he's too strong to be controlled by force. Their love is their greatest strength-and their biggest vulnerability. But magic has its own rules, and no song can go unanswered. Excerpt: I pitied the man, although with so many cops around him, he was quite dangerous. Who needed 30 police officers to supervise one guy who in handcuffs and leg shackles? I watched him walk down the gauntlet between the rows of officers. It was as if I couldn't look away. He paused and looked around. His brilliant glowing blue eyes seemed to meet mine across the vast distance. I couldn't even blink as his eyes seemed to hold mine. The trees of a park broke our locked gaze as the bus kept on driving. I took a deep breath, suddenly realizing that I had stopped breathing the moment our eyes met. I had never seen such blue eyes before-and they glowed! A shiver ran through me. I had been too far away to make out the color of the man's eyes. My eyes watched the trees, hoping for a break in them so I could see the man again. I had no such luck. --- Fade-to-black action fantasy romance Copyright November 2017. [Thornton Boys - Book 4] Princesses don't end up with thieves, and thieves don't deserve princesses. Read any old children's fairy tale, they all end the same; the princess marries the prince and they live happily ever after. The thief is forgotten, as he should be. He's nothing more than a plot twist, a forgettable bad guy complicating an otherwise perfect love story. ...Right? So what happens when the thief realises he's still what the princess needs, he just isn't who she thinks he is? What happens when you forget what you learned in the fairy tales and decide to trust your heart with what it truly wants, rather than what it thinks it's supposed to want? Axel's getting out of jail, and he wants nothing to do with Maya fucking Phillips. But she's too close to the people he wronged; she's too god damn involved to be ignored. And when Axel discovers that Maya is, in fact, his beloved prisoner pen-pal; he decides he no longer wants to ignore her. Maya's been in her own personal jail, inside her head, for almost five years now. Ever since he left her. He's back now, but he's not the same person she once knew; he's reckless, dangerous, lawless, despicable. She could never feel for him now, how she did when they were kids. But when someone close to both Maya and Axel goes missing, she's forced to put her feelings - old and new - to one side and come together with her old flame, for the greater good. That is, you know, if he's even capable of anything good. Only time will tell, but someone's life is on the line, and time happens to be running the fuck out. ** This is the FOURTH book in a five-book series. Please don't waste your time reading this if you haven't read the first three already :) **
