Meet Jerry, an aspiring detective who is hoping to break his first case, by investigating a slew of missing persons, who all seem to disappear along the same street, a dark street, with multiple condemned buildings, a church, and a halfway house. All perfectly good places to start the investigation, except of course, no detective can be kept sane without their coffee, so Jerry decides to take a pit stop at the one ordinary building on the road, while keeping an eye out for strange behaviours.

Robot Now is a 500-word short story about a home assistant robot that still experiences some bugs, set in a virtual desert landscape. What happens when Fai, the Family AI, gets turned into a deadly weapon, something that goes against everything she is created for? *** This short story is created from a #WriteWithZo prompt, though I quite like how it turned out. Maybe I'll turn it into a full-length story someday. Enjoy!
