The ghost she sees is her foster sister, Sally. Everyone thinks she's just another runaway. Mattie knows the truth, though-she's dead, murdered. Foster kids look out for each other and Mattie feels like she has to help Sally, but she can't do it alone. Against her better judgment, she teams up with a young police officer and together they set out to discover the truth of Sally's disappearance. Now the killer has set his sights on her. It becomes a race to see if she can find the truth before the serial killer finds her.

A failed attempt to create a better weapon with partial immunity to the green, Mars is a lab experiment whose cells are routinely reprogrammed to test new algorithms and their response to the green. And they're all supposed to come together and save the world. We'll see about that. Rough draft for NaNoWriMo.

With everyone in town determined to either help her or expose her, a boy Rosa is sure is determined to screw everything up for, an absentee father showing up, a mysterious trio and their almost equally mysterious employee's, holiday festivals and a very rude neighbor, Ashwick Wharf might have been just the wrong place for Rosa to come to, or it might have been just the right place for her to live.
