The King of Spades, Alfred F. Jones, had not always been unable to hear things. It had started when he was crowned King and his inability slowly had gotten worse. But he paid no mind, instead he brushed it off like it was nothing. Nobody seemed to pay attention to it either; considering the young King had learned to read and understand lip movement making him a lip-reader, to anyone he seemed normal. That is until he was told that another royal member would be joining, a person who would help rule the kingdom by his side. With every King there is a Queen. And for the first time he would meet the person that he would be wed to.

This is a USUK fanfiction about a long distance relationship. Arthur Kirkland is a 16 year old student at secondary school in London, England. His life isn't quite that of luxury, neither academically or at home. He most certainly has potential to be a well-rounded student, but being an unpopular kid and his sheer lack of social behaviour is becoming a barrier to his motivation.
