'Reality is a lovely place but I wouldn't want to live there'

❝She's not a charity case Louis, she just wants to meet her idols.❞ Rosmary is a nineteen year old with cancer. Her idols are One Direction, her soft spot being for the one and only Louis Tomlinson. Louis is a twenty one year old, currently recovering from a breakup with his girlfriend. He's turned bitter and rude ever since, and hasn't cared for anyone but himself. When Rosemary's father gets One Direction to visit her at the hospital, Rosemary happens to hit Louis' soft spot, and make him realize the world doesn't revolve around him.

And so it begins. The classic coming of age story about a twentysomething girl, finding her way in the city. After graduating (with an Arts degree- questionable choice, but we'll learn about that later) she finds a one bedroom apartment and she buys a cat. Life is sweet. She's a living, breathing, cat-hugging cliche of a single girl. To many people that's how it looks from the outside, that's about as interesting as it gets, and maybe, that's even where the story ends. But that girl is me, and unless I am a total wet blanket, I think we both know thats hardly all there is to tell. The more you get to know people, the more you learn that almost no-one is living their life like it appears from the outside. I'm going to tell you what its really like to be a twentysomething, to live alone, dabble in online dating, attempt to navigate my first functional relationship, work for the boss from hell, and try to find my feet in "this economy". Come on, you know what I mean. But before we can even get to that part of the story, you have to understand how the story begins. So here goes nothing...

Kaelyn Reynolds. Located in Ghana, Africa. Yep. Africa. I've been living here for two years, and I've become accustomed to my African ways of life. No, no I don't walk around in a cave man suit with paint all over my face, I actually have a pretty normal life style. Well, I did. Right up until One Direction came to support Comic Relief. Due to earlier incidents in my past, I am no longer the once trusting, exuberant teenager I used to be. I am mature, and strong, and isolated in my own world of fear and blame. But somebody else is really trying to barge into this strange unknown territory, and I have to stand my ground, or lose myself. Twenty one letters about a girl who poured her heart out to Niall, a girl who is dying inside and is trying to fix herself again. As Niall begins to read, and the letters begin to run out, he finds himself knowing and loving this girl, all the while knowing that one day, he's going to have to stop reading. Because she stopped writing.
