There wasn't anything setting Evangeline O'Shea differently from someone you notice very briefly on a train to the person buying a carton of milk and a newspaper in front of you at the store. That made moving to Vancouver that much easier. She didn't, however, expect to meet a man like Michael Reeves through an unlikely incident at Simon Fraser University. She didn't expect to fall for such a dark and mysterious man let alone her History lecturer... And when she finds out that this man is in fact no man at all, she wonders if love is worth risking her life over. **First novel in Vampire series**

"What is it about you, Kira?" Oliver asked, more to himself than me, in a whisper. I could hardly breathe with him being so close and my heart was pounding almost painfully hard. "I don't know what you mean." I answered in an out of breathe manner, though I believed he was feeling the same as me. I wished I didn't have these crazy attraction and affectionate feelings for him, but I did; there was no controlling them, so I supposed I was just in for a long ride, one that would certainly lead to heartbreak. However, just because I knew the inevitable, I wasn't going to fight how I felt about him. ---------------------------------------------------------- Love may be rough for most people, but it's even harder when you fall for someone you can never be with. Kira is a 16 year old human slave that has been living with a vampire named Sam for many years. When a war breaks out and Sam is sent to a vampire clan on the other side of the continent, Kira is forced to move in with Sam's older brother Oliver. Oliver is the leader of the vampires of the Ibitario Clan. He's powerful and gorgeous, but more importantly, he's cruel and heartless. With two opposite personalities, will Kira and Oliver ever be able work out their difficulties, or will it be a lost cause? -------------------------- Beautiful cover created by M_Rainberry

'He let out a hissing noise and I watched as the veins in his face became prominent. His mouth opened slightly and I watched as his canine teeth grew about an inch. What the hell was happening? Was all this really real, or I am just so scared that I'm imagining it all, I asked myself? He gave me one more evil smile as his face came closer to mine. He grabbed my hair and yanked my head to the side exposing my neck to him. I took what I thought for sure would be my last breath; then my body fell limp to the ground and he was gone. My hand flew up to my neck but there was no pain. I pulled my hand away and there was no blood. The sound of branches breaking and growling came from left and I turned to see what it was.' Aliyah's life was about to be turned upside down when she discovers that werewolves and vampires really exist. Will Amaro - a hot sexy werewolf, help her understand everything, or will he just be an jerk like usual?

"Oomph!" The sound rushed out of my mouth as the door opened before I could reach the handle and my body hit a wall. I took a step back and realized that it wasn't in fact a wall, but instead a very attractive male. I looked up at his head to see a very messy, but sexy, mop of black hair on top of his head. When I looked closer, I noticed that his hair was a very deep brown that was probably often mistaken for black. My gaze traveled downward to his eyes, where I found two deep, ocean blue eyes looking back at me. My gaze travelled farther down to his crooked nose, to which I assumed came from too many fights. My eyes finally found his pink, very plump lips, which were turned into a sneer. "You have got to be kidding me!" His pink lips said in a very offensive voice. My eyes turned questioning as I looked back up into his eyes. "Whatever, lets finish this. I, Ashton Carter, reject you, as my mate." He, or Ashton, said with venom lacing his voice. He quickly turned and walked down the now vacant hallway with no glance back. Rejection? On my first day? The first person I make eye contact with at this school, rejects me. I guess that's how this school works, if the hottest boy in school rejects you, you're a nobody. So much for making friends, or mates, or whatever they call people at this school. I shake those ocean blue eyes out of my head and continue into the office to start my new life.

He had spent centuries with only himself for company, he fed, tortured and killed that was his life and he liked it that way, until she came along and stirred something in him, something he couldn't and wouldn't accept. “If I were you I’d keep that stake sharp. Don’t expect anymore visits like this, next time I come I expect you to use that thing,” he told her pointing to the stake on the bed, and then he was gone.
