Years of lost wars, unfulfilled treaties, and an excessively lavish lifestyle lived by their ruler, Queen Markhor, have left the SkyWing tribe impoverished and starving, and Shrike, the princess's personal bodyguard, has witnessed the consequences of the Queen's ignorance firsthand. A diplomacy meeting with the SeaWings gone wrong erupts in yet another bloody war, and Shrike is swept up in battle before finding himself caught in between the jaws of the political turmoil that seem to be tearing his tribe apart from the inside out. To make matters worse, a warning delivered years before by the continentally renowned prophet, Hereafter, is unraveling before Shrike's eyes, and its exhortations seem like an echo chamber awfully reminiscent of his own life. There's a new dragon at Jade Mountain Academy, and his name is Darkstalker. Only a few months after the events set off by the rising of the original Darkstalker, the ancient and evil animus, this new dragon's arrival sets off suspicion and tension throughout the school. Soon after, disaster after disaster strikes the school, too many to just be a coincidence. The prophecy returns. Attacks and explosions besiege the school, and Moonwatcher, Qibli, Kinkajou, Turtle, Winter, and two new additions to their winglet, Darkstalker and Aurora, are caught up in the middle of what could be the second Return of the Stalker of the Dark.

Living in the new LeafSilk Kingdom, everything seems perfect and beautiful, and Monarch could agree, but from the beginning, she knew something was wrong with the world, but she didn't know what. Her mystery is close to being solved when she is moved to an orphanage with her friends after their guardian on a trip was fatally wounded. She gets news her family has disappeared, and she is demanded to stay in the orphanage after they have been declared dead. There, she meets one interesting dragon, and he and her friends Hawkmoth and Ivy decide to finally solve this mystery, and save the world.

Friend, or Foe? If there was a single thing Radiant didn't hate, it wouldn't have existed for long before being snatched away from her. Radiant never had it good growing up in Wasp Hive; the terrible teachers and the looming threat of a tyrannical queen being the main factors of course. Radiant has always known that HiveWings were evil and her tribe was practically useless to both her or to stop Wasp. It was beginning to seem as though she'd never find anything positive to say about life. That would've been until she would be bought by a rich HiveWing in Hornet Hive. A 'Duke', if you will. A well mannered HiveWing who treats Radiant with... Respect? Kindness? Is it all a trick set up by Wasp herself to confess her blasphemy to this puppet, or is this dragon really sincere to her?
