Yggdrasil was the new internet. It only took them a year and a half to introduce. The theory sounded excellent on the surface and the reality factor was literally, out-of-this-world, but the consequences were a heavier price than society could bare. When Yggdrasil felt more real than reality, and everything minus life sustenance could be sought there, what would happen to our world? And to make it this real, just what did they do? Krysta was bedridden, but her consciousness was put into a faux reality game. Mick is a policeman, and good at his job, but he becomes fed up with what he sees happening all around him in the streets. While going online to investigate, he is told that Krysta's consciousness has vanished and can not be found.
