As human population grew, so did other creatures such as Elementals as they started to appear in certain areas, most commonly in the mountains. A growing cult found out they can harness the power of Elementals into humans. So they took Elementals as test subjects and after many failed attempts, they succeeded in harnessing one Elemental's magical abilities into a crystal ball otherwise known as a Globe. Only the rich were able to afford these Globes, however magic started to be common in the next generation but couldn't control the raw energy which resulted in them dying. The cult soon grew into a religion and started selling "Holds" and "Empty Globes". With the Holds and the Empty Globes, children could start using their elemental magic. The Globes' power were measured by what color it emitted, Black being the weakest to White being the most powerful. Hannah, a fourteen year old child had obtained one of the most powerful elemental magic of all, Time. The religion soon noticed as they attempted to make Hannah into a Test Subject.
