At the same time, Alexis has been in prison and eventually witness protection as her court case progressed, until eventually she was allowed back into civilian life on probation. When the two are suddenly thrust back together through pure chance at a dingy dive bar, it doesn't take long for familiar feelings to surface. ~ AU. All of our experiences as LGBTQ+ people are different, informed by religion, culture, race, ethnicity, gender, etc. so an important part of being in a community is sharing with one another how we're navigating being queer in this world. Of course, you don't have to be queer to share in this space with us. Being an ally brings many of its own challenges, and we're stronger together. Sharing our stories is uplifting for people in darker places, and comforting to those who can relate.
