Peace is threatened for the first time in twenty five years. Unnatural disasters of incredible power sweep across Rhalia; mountains collapse, a kingdom is swallowed by the ocean, and a strange epidemic arises on the north. The superstitious whisper that another Withering is approaching, and that the suffering of the world is only a result of demons finding a new master to lead them out of their prison. In the middle of Ariwa Forest, Thalia finds herself trying to deal with a demonic illness that has spread among her people, but solutions are slipping through her fingers and time is running out. On a last desperate attempt to save her loved ones, Thalia decides to work with a strange foreigner who claims to know a way of curing the disease. After an enraged ocean nearly drowns an entire kingdom, Soren finds a dangerous secret that may reveal the flooding wasn't as natural as it appeared to be. Troubled by his discovery, he struggles to help a kingdom that rejects the help of sorcerers, and he's forced to work alongside those he despises the most. Meanwhile, on the shattered mountains of Ragno, a young sorceress named Romi seeks the demons that supposedly caused such destruction. With the help of a lesser spirit, however, she finds that someone else is already prowling the mountains searching for the same thing; and at the same time, searching for her. But on those mountains Romi finds that the disasters spanning the continent are no mere coincidences, although that revelation becomes the least of her problems as she finds a strange girl that claims to hold the power to stop the war to come. Sin and symphony. That's all a necromancer needs. Octavia is a woman of many hats -- a maestro, an educator, a wanderer and an accomplished liar, and she wears all of them at once if need be. Masquerading as a music teacher, she travels the world on a mission to rid it of the netherborne -- a scourge from beyond the grave. When her travels take her to the tiny island of Hedalda, she finds a town on its knees, under the heel of the netherborne, and a people who believe necromancers are the worst thing to happen to humanity. Wit and a song, necromancy through music, was all she ever needed. But this time it isn't enough. The scourge looms larger with each song Octavia plays, and to save Hedalda she must navigate a web of deceit, look beyond sin and symphony, all while keeping her true identity a secret. The water supply at Gregory College is contaminated, possibly fatal, and definitely unfit for drinking. It's the worst crisis Gregory College has ever had to deal with in years. Twenty year old Rainey Dumar is in charge of delivering free water bottles to her fellow students. She likes the job, but it is what it is: a way to get cash and support her struggling family. Things take a sharp turn when a new employee joins the team: Danika Reddy, a sophomore who is sweet, gorgeous, and maybe not the smartest person around. The two girls are polar opposites: hot and cold, gay and straight, and lo and behold violent sparks fly in the workplace, unlike anything Rainey's ever felt before. To make matters worse, Rainey finds herself entangled in a sinister spirit group on campus. They like to steal cars, leave mysterious notes, and threaten innocent lives. Despite attempts to resist all outside help, it's Danika who comes to her rescue. Danika, who is nothing like she seems, is fiercely protective of her uptight boss, danger be damned. Drowning in trouble, Rainey can't tell which is worse: being targeted by a criminal college cult or falling for a straight girl. Welcome to Gregory College.
