❝ I don't know how it happened but -- everything around us fell crashing to the ground. We found ourselves in a world where we didn't belong; we shouted and screamed until our lungs were dry and our tears were black and blue, but no one heard us. No one saved us. No one dared to fix us. Now we only have each other and I'm worried -- I'm worried that may not be enough. ❞ in which he speaks in broken syllables and she speaks in flawless poetry. (lowercase intended.)

"Relax, my beloved. I'll never leave you, even in death," Tamsin promises. "That's what I'm afraid of," I agree. x Wesley Burks' world came crashing down the day he found out that his girlfriend of two years and best friend of four years, Tamsin Long, died in a gruesome car accident. He was sure he had lost all- his closest friend, his love, his rock- but most importantly, his sanity, especially when he walked into his room after coming home from her funeral to find Tamsin sitting cross-legged on his bed, reading a book. A year later and Tamsin is still everywhere. She follows Wesley to school, sleeps beside him and trails around him in the kitchen while he's making his morning cereal. No one else can see her, and no one knows that Tamsin never really left Wes- and they like it that way. To everyone else Tamsin is dead but to Wesley, she hasn't been gone for more than a couple of days. Things start to go downhill, and rapidly, when a new girl arrives at school. Wesley finds himself slowly befriending her- his first friend since Tamsin 'died'. That's when Tamsin begins to change dramatically, in a violent, threatening, spine-chilling way and suddenly, Wesley can't even recognize the girl glaring at him from the corner of his room who can only be seen by his own eyes.
