All Is Well, Duckie
Rayne_Or_Shine
Francis Amel used to radiate brightness and had a way with words like no other. From his teenage years he aspired to be a poet. In times of war he brought joy to his comrades with poems of hope.
It seemed like all the words were stolen from his lips and finger tips when his best friend, Roscoe Douglas, took a bullet between the eyes by a German sniper.
Francis was never able to let go of the memory of Roscoe dying. Now he's known as the town nut case. It might seem like that's exactly what he is, considering he's the only one who can see the ghost of Roscoe. He's sure Roscoe is there though, and there's not one hint of doubt about it in his mind.
Roscoe is one of the more friendlier of ghosts. Everything he does is in Francis's best interest. He's never wanted anything more for him, than to live. That seems like a typical wish of the dead. That just couldn't get through to Francis, who was seeming to make himself suffer every morning of his sad life.
What will it take to bring words to the one who was left speechless?
