This is the prequel to "The Infectious Series." The first book in the series is "Infectious Intent," second is "Infectious Devotion" and third is "Infectious Submission." I would recommend reading the series before reading this book. (F/n) (L/n), an apprentice to her mother for the art of weaving, stumbles upon a group of knights with her friend Jacob when they're seven years old. She encourages the knights to have safe travels due to the war occurring at the time, and one of the knights leaves a token behind for her as a means of thanks for her wish. Becoming fixated by this token, (f/n) strives to improve her craft all the more in hopes of one day meeting this knight and having a gift to present him back as her own token of thanks. In doing so, however, she unknowingly causes a hatred to brew within her village of Levonshire. Is it a matter of if the hatred will strike, or is it a matter of when will the hatred make its lasting mark on the village and (f/n)?
