Gage Slonan, a charge of the Estate, the oldest and most prestigious academy for training men in the art of every variety of service, is something of a 'problem child.' So much so, in fact, that the administration has no choice but to pay him special attention. Poverty and overpopulation runs rampant through the entire world, eventually pushing every major nation into a state of homonormativity, reproduction a long forgotten biological imperative of the past. The Estate, an institution of the federal government of the United States, was established to make this transition easier. To, for lack of better phrasing, make homosexuality appealing for the masses, particularly the wealthy elite. Where they go, society has always followed. The charges of The Estate, young men deemed 'physically acceptable,' spend the first part of their service, before the age of 18, on the castle grounds, cooking, cleaning, and performing other medial tasks until they can begin their training in The Academy, the small sector of The Estate dedicated to the education and training of Butlers. These Butlers are then available at the beckon call of The Estate's patrons, for anything from standard service all the way to sexual services of the most sinister kind. The men of The Estate remain Butlers for 7 years, between the ages of 18 and 25, before being able to retire. Upon retiring, them and their families are always guaranteed a certain amount of financial assistance from The Estate, making these positions just as attractive as they are exclusive to the general public.
