Monachopsis n. the subtle but persistent feeling of being out of place, as maladapted to your surroundings as a seal on a beach. -lumbering, clumsy, easily distracted, unable to recognize the ambient roar of your intended habitat, in which you'd be fluidly, brilliantly, effortlessly at home.

"Have you ever murdered?" The words slipped out of my mouth before I could stop them.He was so bad with his anger, I wouldn't be surprised if he just killed someone in the heat of the moment. I saw his lip turn up a bit, as if he was trying not to smile. "I don't think you want me to answer that." He spat. "I wouldn't ask if I didn't want to know." I shot back. I needed to hear him say it, I needed to know who I was dealing with here. "Yes." He had lowered his voice and said each word like he meant it. I could see something in them; not pain or regret, I couldn't put my finger on it. I took in a deep breath before carefully asking the next question. "Did you enjoy it?" I studied him. He looked away for a brief second, then he stared straight at me, not breaking the contact. "Every bit of it." He had said in a dark tone. "I liked watching the panic in their eyes when they realized I would be the last thing they looked at." I gasped, killing bothered me, but enjoying it was a whole different level. I couldn't even look at Au- no him- he didn't deserve a name at this moment; he was a monster.
