For as long as mankind can remember, a war between angels and demons has been fought. Angels cannot cross over to the demons' world and demons cannot cross over to the angels', so they used the humans' realm as a medium for combat. Miranda was made to be a weapon, being part angel, part demon. She was the ultimate weapon and humanity's last hope for survival. As the day goes by, the number of casualties increase and cities get destroyed. Now, Miranda will race against time to complete her training and fulfill her destiny to bring the war to an end, even if it means betraying the friends she's made.

There is no word on what Sylvi is planning next. She doesn't know wether Calder is alive or dead. And her people's anger towards her all has Eerika breaking down. She knows she must rescue Calder and find a way to finally defeat the frozen queen, but the clock is racing against her. With what little freedom she has left and Calder's claimed treason looming over her head, Eerika is willing to risk all of it to get him back. "So that is the reason, huh? It's because I'm a lowly human and you're a mighty dragon king?!" She exclaimed. "I never said you were a lowly human," Jayk defended. "No, not directly. WHAT READERS ARE SAYING: "Natalie Wright has divined in Emily's House a simultaneous modern and ancient fairy tale of the greatest kind: sans parents, sans immediate consequence, sans cowardice. Bravery is said to be not the lack of fear, but action in the face of it. Like the best of Grimm, Perrault and Charles Schulz, Ms. Wright's kids find themselves amidst adventure, terror and turmoil, as well as ineffective and/or absent parental units. By their own bootstraps they must find help themselves to find their way home, to save not only each other, but perchance an entire civilization. "Adults drool, kids rule" is the motto for any well-written young adult or children's tale. Natalie's kids indeed rule. This one will last, alongside Grimm, Perrault and Schulz, in the coffers of timeless, fantasy literature. Plus, there's Hindergog and no one could not love Hindergog! Well done, Ms. Wright. Well done, indeed." - Jennifer S. Devore, author of "The Darlings of Orange County"
