"Hope, children, and never once let in. For it is written that a single candle can withstand the darkness, even now, in our most desperate hour." "Though the end days have come at last, and the sun falls for the last time beyond the dim horizon, we must still have hope, being that the unlikeliest of heroes and the greatest and most difficult of adventures can emerge from the darkest of days." ~*~ The gods are silent, and the people's desperate prayers of healing and aid go mysteriously unanswered. Rumors and talk of monstrous, horrific dragons killing anything in sight are whispered in taverns and pubs, with the added murmurs of draconic creatures that stand on two feet like a man followed close behind. When the elven capital of Lyrenbel is destroyed and half its population slaughtered, a chain of events suddenly brings together a disgraced knight, an old dwarf, a mage that hides his insecurities behind a mask of arrogance, a traumatized Sylvari and an orphaned Sylvanaar, and sets them forth on a path that none of them ever wanted to be on. They are expected to be saviors, heroes that come from a child's bedtime story. But they are not fighting against a normal dragon, or other mythical creature. They are fighting against an all powerful god. They carry the weight of the world on their shoulders as they begin walking down their long and winding road, yet they will fight until the very end, despite the tension that grows between them with each passing day. Their chances of success are slim, and if they do succeed, they will not return as the same person. If they return at all. ***book 1 of three*** ***this book is related to my other book, Heart of the Winter King, as it takes place in the same universe, but it can be read without it***

There is nothing worse for a pirate than dying on dry land. Except, maybe, swinging two feet above it. When their captain is imprisoned, facing the gallows, the men and women of the Lady Lesya's crew will try everything to break him out--even if it means fighting guards in ridiculous uniforms, bargaining with overweight monsters, and risking the life of the more or less innocent. Add vengeful local thugs, a mysterious killer with a grudge, and some unexpected ghosts to this already perilous task, and the streets of Puerto Seguro turn into a bloodbath. To get out of the town alive, the brethren of the coast will have to act not just as a crew, but as a family. ___________________ As it's a pirate story not created by Disney, expect strong language, violence, gore, and allusion to sex. But also humor, strong characters, and a touch of love. The story, three years and a half in the making, is now complete (and under revision). ____________________ Magnificent cover by @Tweeter109 Awesome headers by @FayLane

Set in Victorian Poland is a tale about a stubborn young woman named Elsa whose father runs a society solely for vampyre hunting. Elsa does not believe in such tales, until she comes across a mysterious man at a ball interested in her mother's old pocket watch... and possibly her blood. When Elsa wakes and finds herself in an enchanted mansion and is not able to leave, she realizes that the man she'd danced with was no man at all, but a vampyre. Elsa is desperate to escape, but what she'll discover out in the world might just be darker than the mysterious, manipulative vampyre who has captured her... perhaps even darker. She could just discover herself, and not all discoveries are full of light. ~Had been selected and promoted by Crimson Peak Movie's sponsored reading list ~The perfect spooky, cozy Halloween novel you won't be able to put down
