George soon finds himself being befriended by three older teens who share the same dream, to become Rock 'N Roll musicians. John, Paul, and Richard. "Battle of the Bands" is a yearly competition for amatuer bands to show what they got. The four friends decide to enter the competition, in hopes of getting a record deal. But when highschool rivals, girls, traveling, and personal issues get in the way of their goal...
