This Urban Tale is based on Detroit native, America's black son--Tray Diggins. In this fictional tale lies imagery that illustrates true inner-city blues, racial inequities & modern-day tribulations of the ghetto youth. Tray is back on the streets of the D after serving a four year stint at Jackson's State Penitentary; for an alleged rape of a college student. To this day, he pleads to have had no part in the rape. His only guilty act, being in the wrong place with the wrong crowd. With his prior run-ins with the law and repeat offenses, proves it hard to argue his case. Now released, he strives to be apart of his son's life, which proves to be a difficult battle lead by his baby mama, Wanda. Apart from her impeding on their relationship, he struggles finding work with the ugly conviction stamped to his forehead. With no other resources to support himself, he finds temptation of returning to the streets creeping his way... with the walls closing in from both directions, the path of righteousness becomes blurred with his past self. ~~~ ~~~ Comments & questions are welcomed. This is dedicated to the mother's who have lost a child throughout the years due to gang violence, senseless police brutality, military services, mass shootings and other unfortunate acts. I know you aren't told this at times, but you women deserve to be commended for your bravery and strength you hold in your heart, knowing a person has taken away the child you have delivered to this world. A child you grew to love before birth. Everyone should take a page from y'all book. It takes a strong and understanding person to look to the future, forgive those who have wronged us, for we know that only stunts our growth and only gives them more power over us. God bless you beautiful strong Queens R.L
