It's incredible how lonely being alone really is. With his dreams addled with nightmares and his waking hours spent drifting in a big, empty house, Will has never felt so alone. He wonders who, if anyone, could fill the spaces of his vacuous little world, and realizes he has very few people who he could even ask for company. That is until an unexpected turn of events leaves him with the realization that he's maybe not so alone after all. (this takes place sometime after season 2, after Will's been released from hospital. Spoilers will be infrequent and mild. This is an AU of sorts, in which Will never goes to Europe.)

In my history class, I had to write Trench Logs as an assignment. We had to write seven log entries, pretending that we were soldiers during WW1, but I wrote them like letters. I really like how they turned out so I decided to publish them. I also couldn't think of any names so I just used the human names of different Hetalia characters. IT ISN'T A FANFICTION THOUGH! I only used their names! To give you a quick run down about what's going on, Arthur Kirkland is a soldier in the British army during WW1. He writes to his sister, Alice, about his time in the trenches, the people he's met, and the gory truth about war.

War is hell, and good men die every day fighting for their lives. However, what killed a young boy, and many others is no bullet or soldier. It is ancient, vicious, and pure evil. Laurence had no idea this was what war was like. He was no soldier, and he was no killer. But somehow he was here, living in the bottom of a trench, waiting for a bullet to pierce through his heart, or a bombshell to set his body ablaze. Now thrust into this chaotic war with death and violence, Laurence must fight for his life; against the monster, and against the men who fight on the other side.

Just a short story of mine. Have you ever noticed how different people can almost... float when they walk? Some people, no matter how much or how little they weigh, seem to step so lightly they practically don't even touch the ground. (I do not own the cover photo, but the writing is entirely mine)

Richard Faulkes didn't want to fight a war. He wanted to live out his days peacefully in London, watching out for others and doing whatever made people smile. Peter and Katherine wanted just the same. But someone started a war, and they had to do their part to stop it. None were grumbling about that. Seems everyone got a war whether they wanted it or not. Even with one of their number out of the country, Peter, Richard, and Katherine don't plan on leaving anyone alone. Despite the Blitz and the miles, some would say that the trio were closer than they'd ever been. And no one denied that they were closer to the suffering people around them. |"After all this, and I'm sure you'll both agree with me, I don't think wars are fought with guns and bombs after all. I've done much more caring for others than fighting for them. I think I prefer it."| Beautiful cover by @Stars_Alight © 2021 Katrina Enersen
