Draco has been dealing with his own struggles since the war, and finds himself in a very dark place when Harry Potter, of all people, comes back into his life. Can he offer what Draco desperately needs - a friend, or maybe more? This is the story of two boys working through old bitterness, sexuality, mental health, and new foes amidst the end of the war and their return to Hogwarts. Author's Note: This is a slow burn, enemies to lovers, with a lot of angst but a decent amount of fluff too, more of a plot than just the romance and a happy ending (trust me). Relationships are Harry x Draco, Ron x Hermione, and Pansy x Blaise. Updates will be regular because it's all already written out, and I will be publishing on AO3 at the same under the same name. A Drarry Story. While Draco is confined to the manor on house arrest, he writes his story, publishes it, then shuts himself away from the wizarding world. Some nine and a half years later, Harry is about to leave the university where he works as a Professor of Defence Arts when he sees a student bent over a stack of books. There is something very familiar about the hunch of the man and his white-blond hair which takes Harry straight back to Hogwarts. A story of two men putting aside their history and coming together with considerable help from their two sons, Teddy and Scorpius. No smut, contains swearing.

The idea of having alternate universes is fun to think about. It's easy to be able to pretend that in a different life, in a different world, something completely different is happening to someone and everyone around them. So, let's pretend. Lets pretend that Harry Potter's experience with the Dursley's did not break him down to a shell of a boy. Instead, it made him stronger, made him ice cold and guarded from the world. His heart now wrapped in a cage and only the people he cared for most could reach through the bars without getting burned. Let's pretend that Draco Malfoy is as small and innocent as they come. There is an underlying fire that he has yet to discover, but in the meantime he is just a boy. A boy that craves for the love and affection that he was deprived of from his distant and cruel parents. Let's pretend that Draco Malfoy is drowning, drowning in his yearning to know and feel a connection, any type of connection with anyone. Let's pretend that Draco is reaching the edge of his limit and the only one to bring him back, make him step away from the cliff, is none other than Harry Potter.

Harry never saw it coming. When he runs into a banged up, skittish Draco Malfoy on the train after Christmas break, his suspicions are raised. When Harry and Hermione find out that Draco is being abused, his suspicions are confirmed. The two boys grow closer as time goes on, as does Draco and Pansy with the trio. But an incident in Hogsmeade will send them all packing. To be safe while Lucius is at large, the group is sent to live with Hermione's cousins in Canada. They will attend a muggle school, and live among other teens without magic. But what if they aren't as safe as they think? It all starts when Draco drops his mask.
