It has been three years since How to train your dragon2 and Berk is amazing with Hiccup as the new chief. A week before Hiccup and Astrid's wedding Astrid finds out she is pregnant. How will Berk react and most importantly how will Hiccup react.

Hiccup Haddock is the president's son. He is followed by the press, Secret Service, and everyone else it seems. He "has to be perfect," and he sick of it. He wants more than anything, a normal life. Astrid Hofferson is a normal girl who goes to Berkly High school. She's popular, but not too popular, smart, and a star athlete. She likes it that way and doesn't want it to change. When Hiccup is given the chance to get out of the public's eye and finish high school, he jumps at the chance. It is decided he will "go to another country for his studies," when he will really be going to a small town at the edge of the country. There he meets Astrid, and more new friends.
