Sometimes the darkness, sadness and cruelty of the world becomes so much to bear that we start seeing everything around us in gloomy shades of grey, even rainbows and sunshine. Monochrome Rainbow is a lyrical free verse poetry book about embracing and confronting every shade of darkness that exists within all of us. Despair, fear, regret, hatred, searching for light in places where it often refuses to shine. From growing beyond the burdens of childhood trauma to the liberating beauty of an empty forest, from escaping the haunting horrors of everyday life to the comfort of breaking free from conformity. This book was formerly titled Nocturnal Lullabies and it won the 2018 Wattys Poetry Award.

I survived the Vietnam War, but I don't know if I'll survive the one I brought back home. Vince Foster survived the scathing jungles of Vietnam. When he returned home to his wife and daughter, he found himself in a whole new kind of war. A psychological war against his own twisted sense of reality. His mind is damaged by the horrors he has experienced. His homeland has changed for the worse. Gangs run the streets. A beautiful suburban neighborhood in New Jersey has been transformed into a violent, drug-infested hellhole. One night Vince is awoken by the sound of a gunshot from within the house. Vince isn't the battle-hardened soldier he used to be, can he still be the hero his wife and daughter need in their darkest hour?
