Perhaps the motivation is to protect his family, or, perhaps, the motive is revenge on the creature that lays in the abyss, waiting to strike at any moment. Or perhaps, he wishes to accomplish both and understand the contract set by him and Zhongli years ago despite not remembering the details. Meeting in the rain, the two placed an agreement upon themselves without an idea of how much destruction would take place. 'If either of us broke the rules set in the contract, we shall suffer the Wrath of the Rock.'

Working on a short animation for a scene in this fanfic, don't wanna spoil it so the chapters will be uploaded in a irregular pace to keep the chapter containing that one scene for when I finish the short animation.
