So many homeless people we come across everyday, but we never really understand how they feel. I hope by writing this poem at least I've shown a little bit of how they feel.

Melanie is the silent kid in class. She always follows the rules and never gets in trouble. But sometimes she daydreams. Daydreams about a relationship with the hot quarterback,Cody. He thinks she gross and he will never go out with her, that's what he says. Little does he know that Melanie comes from a mean home. Her mom's a drug addict and her dad is just a mean guy. Melanie now lives with her aunt Jamie and uncle Robert who are nice folks. Will Melanie ever get the chance to date Cody?
