Nails, sharp and aggressive, bit eagerly into the flesh of her arms. She could feel the damp stains that had thoughtfully formed along the lengths of her cheeks. She could feel the breeze as it bit harshly at her skin, swirling her hair around in utter frustration. Yet she was frozen, stuck in that moment. Lost, her eyes fell to the floor, praying for that one chance she wouldn't have to see him again, but she was a fool. A bigger fool than she could have ever imagined, she knew nothing of this world. She knew nothing of the darkness that crept silently in the corners, slowly sucking away the soul that her body had once craved. As her eyes drifted around the room she knew she wasn't alone, the bodies swaying around her were merely empty vessels. The dead were dancing and it was all her fault.

"-So try it" Grayson says suddenly to Brea. "Try what?" Her eyebrow raises with intrigue. "You said you can snap your fingers and turn your feelings off... like a light switch, you said, just like that?! So, fall in love with me and then one day...just... stop. and move on," Brea was taken aback by his words, thinking there's no way he was serious. Unimpressed, she gets up to leave and laughs at him saying,"you're crazy." But as she shakes her head, on her way to the door, he grabs her arm and says,"no, I'm serious, B. If you're telling the truth that you have great communication skills and don't get clingy or jealous, then what's the worst that could happen?" She lets out nothing but honesty,"I never said I had great communication skills." "It was implied. So what do you say?" He puts his hand out for her to shake and agree on the proposal. She looks at it then joins his hand and asks,"how long?" "A year," Grayson suggests easily. She disagrees which prompts him to ask her,"how long does it take you to say you love someone?" Brea hesitates to answer, knowing she's never been in love before. "Six months, take it or leave it," they agree. With a confident smile on his face, Grayson promises Brea something, saying,"by the time this house is built, you'll be in love with me."
